The Skirted Jig shows its advantages even when the bait is just lying on the bottom. The slightest water movement causes the fringes on the jig to move and makes even slowly retrieved baits more enticing. The increased water resistance from the fringes also gives a prolonged sinking phase, where micro vibrations and light reflections occur, which further increases the bait's catching ability.
The Zeck Skirted Jig is a really affordable alternative with many advantages compared to other rubber jigs on the market.
To protect you from snags, the Skirted Jig is equipped with a Weedguard. Zeck has deliberately made these bristles a little softer, so that your hook is protected from vegetation and branches, but you still don't have problems with the catch result. When the fish bites, the bristles are pushed aside and the hook tip can penetrate the fish's mouth. This is not the case with most American or Japanese rubber jigs, which are designed for fishing for black perch and have too stiff Weedguards. On such models from competitors, the Weedguard must be trimmed or removed completely. Such problems are now a thing of the past.
Zeck Skirted Jigs are equipped with very sharp and stable hooks from Mustad. They are therefore also very good for fishing in cover (if there are plants or buried trees in the water). You can drill the fish hard without having to worry about the hook bending out. In addition, the dark color of the hook is very discreet.
On the hook shank there is a small counter hook made of metal wire. This ensures that all rubber hooks are held securely in place on the hook without cracking. You can therefore replace your rubber hook more often without damaging it.
The different colors of the Skirt allow you to adapt to different water and light conditions. You can choose a color that matches your rubber hook. Of course, you can also create a contrast between the Skirted Jig and your trailer to create a "strike point". The rubber fringes are very durable and elastic. Thanks to the durable attachment, they are not damaged or worn out during hard strikes and many drills.
Thanks to the special conical Stand-Up shape of the jig head, the Zeck Skirted Jig easily slides through branches and still stays on the bottom after it sinks. This means that you get fewer hang-ups and the bait is more easily sucked up by the biting fish. Due to the slightly rounded underside, this rubber jig rocks a little on the bottom, which in combination with the fringes provides extra attraction. The coating of the head is very robust and does not flake off immediately. This means that it retains its discreet color for a long time.
Mainly used for fishing for perch and zander, but the #4/0 size can also be used for pike.
