Most fishing reels are always a little better than their predecessors. Either the weight was reduced, the design was improved or additional features were added. This is also the case with the Stradic reel series from Shimano, specifically the Stradic CI4+ RA.
The housing is made of the popular CI4+ material. This makes the Shimano Stradic CI4+ RA extra light and at the same time very robust. It also received improved line drawing (Aero Wrap II) and the friction of the gear parts was reduced (Floating Shaft II). Maintenance of the reel is now also possible for the user, thanks to the Easy Maintenance Port, which can be used to oil the gear.
The rear brake version of the Shimano Stradic CI4+ also has a fighting brake. In addition to the normal brake adjustment, there is another, very easy-to-grip brake lever with a short adjustment range. This means that the brake setting can be switched to fighting mode with just a movement of the thumb while fishing and is immediately ready to skillfully fight even strong fish.
