Guideline Coastal has been the reference line for coastal flyers around Europe for many years. Coating specially adapted for fishing during the colder part of the season. Taping and structure provide long throws and are optimized to beat well even under windy conditions.

Guideline's brand new Coastal Evolve WF fly line has an optimized tapering with something more mass in the front to easier to turn over the fly in hard wind, which is not uncommon in coastal fishing. We have designed the rope for fishing for sea trout, sea sabers, multi and other coastal species that live on shallow water and require long, cautious and precise throws regardless of weather conditions. Coastal Evolve has an improved and slightly thinner shooting line to give less friction in the questions and thus longer throws under difficult conditions. The color of Coastal Slow Intermediate's lump is what we call Ice Green, while the lump on Fast Intermediate is a slightly darker Sea Green. The shooting line is a clearly visible Sunrise Yellow that makes it easy to see where the boundary between lump and shooting line goes. This greatly facilitates so that you easily perceive when it is time to release the throw.

The coating is the same memory -free, smooth and durable type that many recognize from the previous version. The line has a Direct Contact core with only 5% stretch that makes you have excellent contact with the fly and feel the slightest shock and draw that a fish does. As Coastal is located just below the surface, it creates a straight line between your hand and the fly and waves do not affect the contact. PVC-free coating without softeners as well as a durability in a class of its own makes Coastal a good environmental choice. Finished loops in the front and rear end make it easy to monkey and connect the line to the backing via loop system.

The lump weight in the table is 9.8 meters which is the main part of the lump and what is required to throw effectively and without effort. The rear tapping has the same color as the shooting line and is a 4 meter long even tapered part that provides very good stability when you keep a lot of rope in the air and want to throw really far. When you throw with Coastal Evolve, it is perceived as weight as the previous coastal, but it has more stability and power in the rolling due to a slightly more compact taping in the front of the lump. This property is an important improvement for both throwing and presentation in wind with increased stability and an overwhelming that is much less wind sensitive. Back tating/action Line was also excluded in the clump weight of the first generation Coastal. Total length is 32 meters.

Slow Intermediate has a sinking speed of 1.25cm / second. The discrete color of the lump together with the density causes the rope during the infisal to stay just below the water surface and does not create shadows and interference on the surface. This makes it the perfect weapon for shady fish on shallow water. Fixed Intermediate has a sinking speed of 3.8cm/sec and thus goes down slightly deeper. It fits nicely when you want to fish for edges and deeper parts, or when fishing founders but want high speed on the fly. On some occasions, just a fast home -fishing fly can be different between a good and bad day on the coast.

Despite its name, we also want to highlight Coastal as a super nice alternative for the sea fly fisherman who chases rainbow and trout in still water. As on the coast, you often encounter windy days which requires that you can throw smoothly even in the headwind, and it is often strictly that the wind drives food on the wind side and this is where you find the fish. Then fishing a nymph or streamer just below the surface is often very effective, and as the rope goes down just below the turbulent surface, it gives good contact with the fly. Conversely, when you have lung conditions with a glossy surface on a lake; A slow intermediate coastal provides no disturbances but can still present a fly near the surface with a fine silhouette.

  • Thinner sliding line for long, friction -free throws.
  • Optimized Taping with more mass in the front.
  • Sharper color difference between sliding line and lump.
  • Finished loops in front and rear end.
  • Direct Contact core with only 5% stretch.
  • Environmentally friendly PVC-free coating without softener.
  • Optimal durability as the line does not crack.
